Each character has one or two armor sets in the equipment pack, as I simply do not have the space in storage for all my sets.
Superior ID & Salvage on all.
I'll take picks and cons out of storage as needed.
Each character carries all of their weapons/shields/staves/offhands.
I try to keep as many of the Handbooks in storage as possible, but most of my characters drag 'em along with them wherever they go.
The last bag and equipment pack are full on all my characters. The first bag is often full or close to it. Backpack & pouch are for drops.

Wow, how do people go out into explorable areas with their bags stuffed to the brim with stuff?
Usually only my equipment pack is full and the bottom five slots of the second bag (ID kit, Salvage kit, Summon, a Book if needed, and maybe a weapon or two that don't fit into the equipment pack or DP removal).

In my example , i pretty much salvage everything to materials after every drop , since my main backback is mostly free , it stays there
and if my inventory gets full i just pop a merch summon

We are the same person. I salvage everything down and use a merch stone if I get a full inventory/use up my salvage kit.
Oh yeah, and the reason I carry everything in my inventory is because my storage is full!

Heavy Equipment pack+Bag 1
Blessed/Tormentor's/Dreadnought armor
Survivor armor (For when playing with SY! spam in team) ... mesmer doesn't have any other decent set unless running Keystone
MM/Pyro/Disciple's/Sentinel's --> this set usually is kept in storage, but sometimes I keep extra sets for no reason
Headgears with minor/superior (for swapping if DP/boss fight)
20hsr/hct Wand + focus
+15e/-1 energy regen wintergreen wand (or in case of necro some other skin...Platinum wand I think) for high swap
+15e/-1 energy focus (for monk only, since monk needs 2 energy sets in case of dire emergency)
Spear of Defense, Shield of Fortitude or -2 enchanted and +10 vs type
Spear of Enchanting (monk/ele)
Zealous Spear of Defense with 10% HCT (for ele "energy management")
Bag 2
Expert Salvage/Superior Salvage if extra long (i.e. caravan VQ)
Merch summoning stone
Regular salvage
Superior ID kit
Rainbow CCs for VQing
Lockpicks
1-3 Minis (depends on char)
Why I hate playing warrior is the amount of swaps you need to carry around. You need an ele weapon x3, vamp/furious x3, zealous x3, longbow. I have multiple sets of weapons, some with defense and some with fortitude so it is even worse.

Between the Trilogy edition and EotN, I'm running 8 characters who usually have a standard backpack and 10-slot bag each; their packs are usually full except for about a half-dozen slots, while the Xunlai storage is usually full except for one slot. I keep about 8 or 10 weapons in Xunlai storage until I have a character who can use them best -- they're mostly hammers at this point, because my warriors are using swords or axes more often. Each character has some holiday tonics or other goods that I no longer have room in storage for, plus weapons that I can't bring myself to get rid of yet; I'm kind of a packrat in this game and unwilling to buy extra Xunlai panes.

/agree, I had a friend who played like that, couldn't figure out how she could stand doing that.
Anyways, for me:
Backpack: ID kit and Salvage kit
Bottom Bag: lockpicks, Elite Luxon mask from a friend who doesn't play anymore, mini Vizu (My favorite mini who never leaves my inventory), and rez scrolls if I'm doing UW/FoW/etc without a rez, otherwise rez shrines exist for a reason. I'll throw in some merch stones if I'm farming something like vaettirs.
Heavy Equip Pack: 3 armor sets that I randomly threw in to free up some storage space (usually vabbi [dagger armor], obby [higher energy dagger armor] and elite luxon [blessed perma armor]); platinum longbow for pulling, couple pairs of daggers that I don't use to free up space, an astral perma staff that rarely sees action and a channeling torm staff for when I feel like lazy farming items for Nicholas with SoS. I also have a tormented shield equiped with every item to again free up space.
I also always leave town with exactly 1k on me. I used to go with 0 until people kept asking me to send (guest) invites and I wouldn't have enough money, so I started doing that.

My warr is the only one with a heavy pack and I've got 3 sets of armor plus his other weapons in it. My other chars just put their armor in their 5-10 slot bags and whatever space is left over is for their weapon sets.

Since I'm REALLY just only trying to get to 50/50 and GWAMM on my ranger, I try to pack a little light.
All three of my bags are normally empty, with my 10 slot equipment bag having a flatbow for pulling, a tormented shield+firey dragon sword as defense set, and an oppressor sword and shield for vaettir farming.
My main backpack usually has my bronze, silver, and gold zaishen coins, merchant and mysterious summoning stones, several stacks of tonics (takes so long to use them up), lockpicks, any personal cons I may have, a few elite tomes I eventually plan on selling, random gemstones, war supplies, ID kit, and Salvage kit. All other space is used for any items I find
In general, I keep all armor sets in my storage, along with minis, other tomes, and miscellaneous other items.
